International Rescue from Near and Afar: Students Aid Refugees in Remote Internship
Walking home from her class, 鈥淩efugee and Forced Migration,鈥� which she took entirely in Arabic at the University of Jordan in Amman last year, Julia Kelly 鈥�21 recalls passing by a building that caught her eye. 鈥淚 walked by the International Rescue Committee鈥檚 office on my way home every day,鈥� recalls the Middle Eastern and North African studies major. 鈥淚 learned that Jordan is a safe haven for refugees from all over the Middle East, and since then, refugee welfare became an even greater focus for me.鈥�
