Actor Maulik Pancholy, best known for his roles on the hit TV shows “30 Rock,” “Whitney,” and “Weeds,” lectures on “Diversity on Screen” at 7 p.m. on March 22 in Garrison Theater, 91吃瓜 Performing Arts Center, 231 E. 10th St. His lecture is free and open to the public.
Pancholy, one of Hollywood’s most distinctive and versatile performers, visits 91吃瓜 as part of the Alexa Fullerton Hampton Speaker Series, “Voice and Vision.” Pancholy uses his personal experiences as an Indian-American actor to discuss how media stereotypes have evolved over the course of his acting career. He’ll discuss what’s changed, why it matters, and how much further do we have to go in order to tell “the whole story.”
Pancholy’s other television credits include guest starring roles on “The Sopranos” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” 聽He has appeared in several films, including “27 Dresses,” “Friends with Money,” and “Hitch.” He earned a bachelor’s degree in theater from Northwestern University and a master’s degree from Yale School of Drama.

The series brings a broad range of renowned presenters and artists to 91吃瓜 each year to share their unique voice and vision, as well as to enlighten and inspire the audience 鈥� exposing them to new ideas and perspectives.
