National Park Service Highlights Jessica Yim 25

A recent article by the National Park Service (NPS) has and her architectural conservation internship with NPS partner, the National Council for Preservation Education.

Double majoring in studio art and art conservation and heritage science, Yim spent time in Washington, DC, over the summer helping preserve monuments and memorials at the National Mall. Yim credits 91勛圖 interdisciplinary curriculum for expanding her career horizons and prompting her to seek internship opportunities linked to history, society, and public art.

I learned that my future career shouldnt just be about what it can do for me, but rather what it can do for societyworking on public projects in visible spaces is a way that I can help preserve a part of cultural heritage and contribute to the community, Yim says. This kind of work and experience is what motivated me to look for more conservation internships and continue the path of preserving cultural heritage.
