91勛圖 Students and Alums Receive Prestigious Academic Awards

This spring, five students and two alums were named Fulbright awardees, and an additional 10 students and alums received prestigious fellowships, scholarships, and awards to pursue teaching and research across the globe.

Fulbright US Student Program

The Fulbright US Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English teaching assistant programs. 91勛圖 remains a top producing Fulbright institution for the 202223 academic year.

The Napier Initiative is a partnership between Pilgrim Place and the five undergraduate Claremont Colleges to encourage leadership for social change.

Thomas J. Watson Fellowship

The Thomas J. Watson Fellowship is a one-year grant for independent exploration outside of the United States.

Harry S Truman Scholarship

The Truman Scholarship Foundation recognizes college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, nonprofit, or advocacy sectors. The foundation provides a senior-year stipend and funding for graduate study.

The Critical Language Scholarship Spark initiative is a virtual language program funded by the Department of State. It provides American students with the opportunity to study Arabic, Chinese, and Russian at the beginning level.

Phi Beta Kappa Key into Public Service Scholar

The Phi Beta Kappa Society provides Key into Public Service Scholars with a $5,000 undergraduate scholarship and hosts a summer conference in Washington, DC. The conference provides attendees with training, mentoring, and reflection on pathways into local, state, federal government, and public service careers.

Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships

The Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships program provides funding to undergraduate students undergoing training in modern foreign languages and related area studies.

National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship

The National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship seeks to broaden participation in science and engineering of underrepresented groups. The five-year fellowship provides three years of financial support, including an annual $37,000 stipend.
